Coming from a family of game and card players, I try never to run out of the basics--I don't just go for the trendy! I have everything from Monopoly, Life, Clue and Candyland to Rummikub, Risk, Scrabble and Scategories. Boggle and Dominoes, Bingo and Backgammon, chess and checkers--we have them. But then there are the really great games like Apples to Apples, Farkel and Blockus that not everyone knows about (yet).
Bananagrams is my newest favorite—or as I like to describe it, “Speed Scrabble.” It’s highly portable, fast and fun! I can even get my 16 year old daughter to play it with me!
I have all kinds of card games and accessories from Old Maid, Skipbo and Uno to Phase 10, Canasta and bridge sets, score pads, tallies and card holders. There are great card games for kids these days--including Blink, Cooking Cookies, Castle Keep, and Ugly Doll.
